Meet Plug

Kareem “Plug” Chapman started doing stand-up in Los Angeles in 2010 and has been working rooms across the country ever since.

He was featured on Comedy Central’s Hart of the City with Kevin Hart and was a finalist in the American Black Film Festival’s Comedy Wings competition, sponsored by HBO. He wrote, produced and co-directed the Applause Network comedy How Racism Ended, now on Prime Video, and his stand-up special Bad Dad, Great Father is streaming on Angel.

Now based in Atlanta, Plug hosts, features, and headlines for clubs, colleges, corporate events, and private parties. He’s also the author of The King’s Guard.

Plug has also taught stand-up for more than six years and has coached over 400 students. Some of them are now working comics. For Plug, the real win is seeing someone who came through his class still out there doing comedy. Take his class or work with him online.
